Faith Is The Legacy™ (FITL) is a ministry that teaches the fundamentals of Faith according to the Word of God. Our main scripture references are Mark 11:22-24, Galatians 3:11 and Hebrews 11:6.
What We Believe. The Scriptures: The Bible is the inspired Word of God, the product of the holy men of old who spoke and wrote as they were moved by the Holy Spirit. The New Covenant, as recorded in the New Testament, we accept as our infallible guide in matters pertaining to conduct and doctrine (2 Tim. 3:16; 2 Peter 1:21; 1 Thess. 2:13).
The Godhead: The triune Godhead is comprised of 3 separate and distinct persons—the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit—who are eternally self-existent, self revealed, and function as one entity. Jesus Christ, who is God manifested in the flesh, is the second member of the Godhead, co-equal and co-eternal with the Father and the Holy Spirit (John 1:1; John 1:14; John 16:28; John 1:18; John 15:26).
The Fall of Man & Redemption: Man was created good and upright, for God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, after Our likeness.” But man, by voluntary transgression, fell and his only hope of redemption is in Jesus Christ the Son of God (Genesis 1:26-31, 3:1-7: Romans 5:12- 21).
The Salvation of Man: We can have a personal relationship with God through salvation, God’s free gift to man. On the cross Jesus Christ became sin and sickness providing both salvation and divine healing for all mankind (Psalm 103:3), being justified freely by His grace through faith. By admitting we have sinned and believing in the death, burial, and resurrection of Christ, and accepting Him as Lord, we can spend eternity with God (Romans 3:24; Ephesians 2:8; Romans 10:8-10). God’s will for our lives as believers is to become whole and successful in every area of life (Mark 16:17, Acts 2:4). The actual meaning of salvation is to be complete and lacking nothing; spiritually, mentally, physically and emotionally (2 Corinthians 5:17-21, Philippians 4:7-8, 1 Peter 2:24, 2 Corinthians 9:6-10). The inward evidence to the believer of his salvation is the direct witness of the Spirit (Romans 8:16). The outward evidence to all men is a life of righteousness and true holiness (I John 3:23). Salvation is by faith in Jesus Christ and not by human works; however, our works will determine our rewards in eternity (Acts 16:3; Romans 10:9-10; Ephesians 2:8-9; Titus 3:5-7; Romans 14:10-12; and 2 Cor. 5:10).
